Starliner crew’s return to Earth pushed back again

Crews with Boeing and NASA gave an update on the Starliner mission on Tuesday.

The two astronauts who launched on that spacecraft from our coast June 5 and are working on the International Space Station.

Over the weekend, teams said the crew will return to Earth no earlier than June 22.

As of Tuesday, that return date has been pushed back to no earlier than June 26.

Officials said the Starliner’s helium system is not performing as designed.

Officials are still finalizing departure planning and operations and performing tests.
