Nashville man arrested for 2022 homicide in Shelbyville

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — U.S. Marshals and the Shelbyville Police Department arrested a Nashville man Friday afternoon in connection with a 2022 murder.

According to police, Christian Sayvon Parrish was charged with criminal homicide for his involvement in the death of Charles Dejuan Mayes at his home on Chestnut Drive in Shelbyville on Oct. 5, 2022.

“The Shelbyville City Police Department would like to thank the U.S. Marshals for assisting in capturing Mr. Parrish,” officials posted on Facebook on Friday, June 21.

No additional details were released about Mayes’ murder or Parrish’s arrest.
