According to arrest reports, SRCSO deputies responded to the 2600 block of Andorra Street on Wednesday, April 3, after receiving reports of a physical disturbance.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim, who reportedly said Barkley had battered her over an argument about the dog.

She told authorities that after a verbal argument, Barkley grabbed her and started hitting her, according to an arrest report.

The woman reportedly tried to defend herself by putting her hands in front of her face. When Barkley allegedly slammed her head into the door, her hand bashed against the door frame. Thinking her hand was broken, the woman said she texted a child, who in turn requested a welfare check.

When law enforcement arrived for the welfare check, Barkley allegedly restrained her in a bed, refusing to let her answer the door. Law enforcement reportedly left.

After Barkley fell asleep, the woman said she started packing her bag to go stay with her son, according to the arrest report.

After her son came to the house, Barkley allegedly started a “physical disturbance” and struck the son “in the face multiple times.”

Reports stated that Barkley is accused of grabbing a machete and holding it up without making threatening statements or attacking movements.

Barkley reportedly shared a different story about the day’s events with authorities. According to reports, Barkley told deputies that he was sleeping in the bedroom when the woman’s son entered and started battering him.
