Old Chicago in Bettendorf closes
The Old Chicago restaurant, at 3030 Utica Ridge Road, Bettendorf, closed its doors on Sunday, according to a spokesperson for the company that owns the chain.
SPB Hospitality is a multi-brand restaurant operator with headquarters in Houston, Texas, that manages several casual dining restaurant chain brands.
“We originally opened this location in 1996 and the last day of operation was Sunday, Feb. 25,” Ryan Russell, director of communications and cause marketing, told Our Quad Cities News.
“Our decisions on restaurant closures are influenced by everything from real estate, new restaurant decisions, and lease-negotiation strategies,” he said.
According to the Old Chicago website, Old Chicago restaurants still operate in Rockford, Illinois; and in Ames, Dubuque and Sioux City in Iowa.
