One-car crash in southeast Columbus leaves driver with life-threatening injuries

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Three people were involved in a southeast Columbus crash with one suffering serious injuries early Friday morning.

According to police a red Ford Escort was traveling west on Omar Road in the Marion Franklin neighborhood when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car struck several parked vehicles before coming to a stop near Bulen Avenue.

The driver was taken to Grant Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the front seat was also taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition. A passenger in the rear seat reported no injuries.

The Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation, which remains ongoing.
