One injured in convenience store armed robbery

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – A store clerk was injured in a robbery at an Oklahoma City convenience store Friday morning, police say.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the incident happened at a store near Walker Ave. and Britton Rd. around 1 a.m.

Officials say two men wearing dark hoodies entered the store and immediately went behind the counter. They took money from the cash register and assaulted the store clerk before taking his wallet.

Police say the two men left the scene on foot. The clerk received a head injury during the robbery and was taken to a nearby hospital.

OKCPD added that the suspects did have a gun but did not use it.

No arrests have been made. No more information is available as the investigation continues.
