One shot in the leg in Kings Mountain domestic dispute, police say

KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person is recovering from a Monday morning shooting, according to the Kings Mountain Police Department.

Just before 8:30 a.m., authorities were called to Belcaro Drive for a domestic dispute between two people.

Deputies with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office got there first and were told that one person had been taken by car to Atrium Health after being shot in the leg.

Police say the other person involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The person who was shot has non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed against either person at this time. KMPD’s Criminal Investigations Unit is in charge of the investigation.
