One teen killed, another injured in single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County

A 14-year-old Vance teen was killed Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County.

The teen was fatally injured when the 2004 Chevrolet SSR left the roadway and overturned. Troopers said the teen was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 14-year-old from Cottondale, was injured and taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The crash occurred at around 5:30 p.m. on Clements Road near Hagler Coaling Road, about three miles east of Tuscaloosa.

No further information was provided. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating.
