Only Murders in the Building shares first look at Schitt's Creek star

Only Murders in the Building has revealed a first-look at some of the new cast members joining the show for season 4.

Schitt's Creek star Eugene Levy, The Hangover's Zach Galifianakis, and Desperate Housewives' Eva Longoria join the Disney+/Hulu show as themselves, playing fictionalised versions of main characters Charles, Oliver, and Mabel in a film adaptation of the trio's podcast.

A photo posted to the show's official Instagram page showcases the three actors alongside lead stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez.

Season three ended on the cliffhanger of yet another murder, with the latest casualty being Charles' body double Sazz Pataki, played by Glee's Jane Lynch.

The season will also, at least partially, take place in Los Angeles, giving the episodes a bit of a different flavour to what we've had before.

"In the same way that [co-creator] John Hoffman used the canvas of Broadway to tell what I think was one of the most unique seasons you’ve ever seen, the same unique Only Murders take will be applied to Los Angeles, which I'm really excited about," Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich said recently.

Speaking to Digital Spy about future seasons of the show, production designer Patrick Howe said he hopes to introduce even more apartments in the Arconia building where much of the action is based.

"I don't know what it would be," he said, before suggesting some ideas. "I'd love there to be some more fantasy spaces or something that was really Japanese or full-on Greene and Greene mission style or somebody has a Frank Lloyd Wright-looking estate. It would be arbitrary but get some different looks into the canvas that we've got."

Only Murders in the Building is available to stream on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US.
