Pair aged 13 and 14 charged over boy's stabbing

Two boys aged 13 and 14 have been charged over the stabbing of another 13-year-old boy.

He was hurt on Cottsmeadow Drive in Washwood Heath, Birmingham, at about 16:00 BST on Wednesday.

The accused pair are charged with wounding with intent and possession of a knife.

They were due to appear before Birmingham's youth court on Friday.

West Midlands Police said the injured boy was stabbed in the stomach and leg.

He is continuing to recover from his injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
