Pasquotank election officials reassure voters about registration, warn about ‘new form’ requests

PASQUOTANK, N.C. (WAVY) — Local election officials in Pasquotank County sent out a warning on Thursday about recent events regarding voter registration.

The county’s board of elections said they were notified that community members were being asked to complete a “new” voter registration form from individuals or organizations in the area to ensure voters have not “been removed.” from the voter registration database.

“Our office has been made aware of the situation, and we want to ensure you that if you are already registered to vote, you do not need to complete a new form to continue to be a registered voter,” the board said.

To check to see if you are a registered voter and have accurate information, visit the North Carolina State Board of Elections website or call the Pasquotank Board of Elections at 252-335-1739.
