Perez Hilton Faces Backlash Following Kylie Jenner Abortion Comment
Perez Hilton recently faced backlash after suggesting in one of his YouTube videos that Kylie Jenner should get an abortion.
After news broke about the 20-year-old reality TV star’s pregnancy on Friday, the blogger released a lengthy video confirming the reports. At one point during his commentary, Hilton said, “Um, I love life, I love babies. If I were Kris Jenner, I would tell that girl to get an abortion!”
Minutes later, Hilton went under fire for seemingly suggesting that Jenner should get an abortion. One Twitter user wrote, “Perez Hilton’s latest video which I refuse to watch (all I had to do was read the headline to know) is beyond disgusting.” Another critic wrote, “Why you telling a woman what to do with her body?”
A few days later, Hilton tried to make things clear by uploading another video on his YouTube channel. The dad of two explained that he didn’t mean that Jenner should get an abortion right now, but it’s something that he would’ve encouraged her to do if he were her parent. The blogger continued by saying that the circumstances are not in Jenner’s favor since she’s still very young, and her relationship with Travis Scott is not stable.
Hilton is a single dad to his children, Mario, 4, and Mia, 2 – who were both delivered via surrogates. In the video, he also said that if his daughter would tell him that she’s pregnant at a young age, he will also encourage her to get an abortion.
Meanwhile, Hilton also claimed that Jenner’s “perception of reality” is “totally off” since she grew up in the public eye. People magazine was quoted saying that Jenner has wanted to have a child for a very long time, but she’s only 20 years old. Hilton said that this meant Jenner wanted to have a kid when she was much younger and possibly even when she was with ex-boyfriend and rapper Tyga.
As of late, Jenner and her family members have not yet reacted to Hilton’s claims.
