PHOTOS: CSFD pulls kitten out of storm drain

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Everyone grows up hearing about the fire department showing up to rescue a cat from a tree, but does that really happen? The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) shared a heartwarming post that proved that, while it didn’t involve a tree, fire crews are willing to go the extra mile to save a kitten in distress.

CSFD shared that Engine 23 worked to rescue a little black kitten from a storm drain on Friday, June 21, and they shared pictures of the event.

The kitten has since found a loving home in the community.
