DENVER (KDVR) — Two suspects were arrested after officers in Fort Collins saw a man bleeding from multiple stab wounds Thursday.

The Fort Collins Police Services said officers were on their way responding to a different call when “they saw a man walking along College Avenue actively bleeding from multiple stab wounds,” at about 8:35 p.m. on Thursday.

The victim, a 36-year-old man, sustained serious bodily injury but is expected to recover, according to police.

The officers stopped and immediately provided emergency care before taking him to UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies. Upon further investigation, the police department said officers learned that the victim had been in an argument with two men.

“After the three men separated, the victim was making his way through Old Town Square when one suspect reapproached him and inflicted multiple stab wounds,” the police department said in a press release.

Police said the two suspects, identified as Clayton Corbett, 44, and Harley Davis, 34, fled the area together but were arrested at 6:14 a.m. Friday without incident.

Officers with the Criminal Investigations Division and K-9 Unit searched Friday afternoon and found a weapon.
