Police investigating early morning deadly shooting near Generals Park in Aurora

DENVER (KDVR) – Early Friday morning police responded to a deadly shooting near Generals Park in Aurora.

The Aurora Police Department told FOX31 they responded to a reported shooting around 3:30 a.m. near East Colfax Avenue and Peoria Street, where police found a male suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said they performed life-saving measures and he was able to make it to the hospital, however, the man later died from his injuries.

Police said suspect information is “unavailable at this time,” although they do believe this was a targeted attack with no additional victims.

The Adam’s County Coroner’s Office is in the process of identifying the victim and notifying their family.

At this time, the police don’t have more information to share on this case.
