Police-involved shooting under investigation in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — The Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Harrisburg Saturday.

Police officers from the city and surrounding area were called to 19th and Derry Streets just before 5 p.m.

District Attorney Fran Chardo tells abc27 News that a man wanted on felony charges was shot and is being treated at a local hospital. His condition is not known.

Chardo’s office is evaluating the use of force.

Details on what led up to the shooting or the man’s identity are not yet known.

No police officers were injured in the incident.
