Police: One dead, another critically wounded after Clarksville domestic-related shooting

One person is dead and another is in critical condition after what police believe was a domestic-related shooting in Clarksville.

Officers were called to a home on Timberline Way at about 9 a.m. Thursday in response to the shooting, according to a statement the department.

Police set up a perimeter around the home before finding both people with gunshot wounds. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was flown to a hospital in Nashville, the statement said.

Police have not yet identified either person involved in the shooting, or who they believe was the shooter.

Currently, the shooting is classified as a domestic-related death investigation, the statement said, and they believe it was an isolated incident with no threat to the public.
