Police search for man accused of painting cartoon ghost in Tarpon Springs park

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. (WFLA) — Tarpon Springs police are searching for a man who vandalized a park with graffiti last week.

Around 7 p.m. on June 13, officials said the suspect entered Craig Park, located at 5 Beekman Lane, walked to the band shell and painted graffiti.

The image appeared to be a black-and-white angel/ghost, with “S + G” tagged next to it.

Police said the man left the park near the open field around the Bayou.

The suspect is described as a slender white male with long dark hair in a ponytail and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a light pink shirt with dark-colored pants, light-colored sneakers with dark laces, and was carrying a backpack.

Officials said the graffiti is similar to other graffiti the city has seen within the past several months.
