Popular Asian restaurant in Fort Mill has closed for renovations and a new concept

Popular Asian restaurant Peking Tokyo has permanently closed for business in Fort Mill.

Peking Tokyo combined Chinese and Japanese cuisine, serving dishes like chow mein and moo shu along with sashimi and sushi.

The restaurant located just off SC-160 in the Graystone Crossing shopping center closed about two weeks ago, workers at neighboring businesses said. It was tucked in between Great Clips and Danny’s Pizza, another local favorite.

Landlord William J. Spivock said Friday that the restaurant was shut down for renovations for a completely new restaurant concept.

Spivock declined to say what the new restaurant is going to be but said that the store should be ready to go by the fall.
