Rabbit Valley Fire update

RABBIT VALLEY, Colo. (KREX) — On Monday around 3 p.m. a fire broke out in Rabbit Valley that quickly began to spread.

Fire crews from the Bureau of Land Management and Lower Valley Fire District worked overnight to contain the fire to 50%. The fire was able to burn through 1,505 acres of land. The fire caused four houses to evacuate. Thankfully fire crews were able to contain the fire before it spread to any buildings.

The fire is expected to be fully contained at some point Wednesday.
