RCPS hosting Job & Transition Fair, connecting students with local businesses

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)– Roanoke City Public Schools are hosting their third annual RCPS Works students job and transition fair on Thursday, April 4 at the Berglund Center from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The RCPS Works job fair was created in 2022 to help employers across Roanoke connect with hardworking students for summer employment and beyond. The event is open to students enrolled in RCPS who are eligible to work and their families.

This year, the job fair will feature more than 80 local and regional businesses, spanning industries in construction, HVAC, food service, banking, government, education, and more. There will also be transition resources available for students with disabilities.

Interested students and employers must register before attending the event. The student registration deadline is March 29 while the employer registration deadline is April 1. Transportation and dinner will be available for families who attend and students will be provided with interview and resume help.
