Rita’s to donate, raise childhood cancer awareness

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard is continuing its partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) to raise awareness and support families.

From every frozen lemonade sale, Rita’s will donate $1, up to $10,000, to ASLF starting Monday, May 27 through Sunday, July 7.

“At Rita’s, we believe that enjoying our delicious treats should also be an opportunity to give back,” said Senior Director of Marketing of Rita’s Madalyn Weintraub. “Through our ongoing partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, we’re honored to contribute to the fight against childhood cancer and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families affected.”

Since 2006, Rita’s has raised over $5.8 million to support ASLF through in-store fundraisers, demonstrating its dedication to making a positive impact on the communities it serves.

ASLF helps change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families, and “empowering everyone” to help cure childhood cancer.

Donations can be made by buying a lemonade online or in-store. Customers are encouraged to contribute $1 at their local Rita’s and add their name to the Rita’s Wall of Hope.

This summer, they will also offer double credits on their loyalty account and earn their way to free treats with an eligible 5-Layer Gelati purchase from May 27 through July 7.
