Road paving coming to Sayre in June

SAYRE, Pa. (WETM) — Residents in Sayre should be aware of some upcoming road milling and pavings days coming to several streets in June.

According to Sayre Borough, the 2024 street paving project is scheduled to begin next week with milling work to take place starting June 12 to June 14 and paving to start June 17 to the 18th.

The following milling days and streets are listed below:

Wednesday, June 12

  • Fordham Street

  • Ellistown Road

  • North Hopkins Street

Thursday, June 13

  • Hemlock Road

  • Cedar Street

  • Cypress Street

  • Lake Street

Friday, June 14

  • Elsbree Street

  • Linden Street

  • Hayden Street

  • Madison Street

  • Desmond Street

Monday, June 17

  • Desmond Street

  • Madison Street

  • Hayden Street

  • Linden Street

  • Lake Street

  • Elsbree Street

Tuesday, June 18

  • Cypress Street

  • Cedar Street

The borough says there will be traffic delays and detours as part of the project while crews are working.

Motorists are advised to give themselves extra time when traveling to work or appointments and take alternate routes until the project is finished.
