Sayre woman arrested, allegedly threw Molotov cocktail at someone

WAVERLY, N.Y. (WETM) — A Sayre woman is facing charges after police say she threw a Molotov cocktail at a person.

Dallas R. Maslinski, 33, was arrested in Waverly on June 19 after an investigation into a domestic incident at East Waverly Park. According to the Waverly Police Department, Dallas intentionally threw a lit Molotov cocktail at a male victim at about 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday. The fire caused minor damage to the surrounding landscape and a building before it extinguished itself.

Both Maslinski and the male left the park after the incident, and the Waverly Recreation Department reported it to the Waverly Police Department about two hours later.

Maslinski was charged with first-degree attempted assault and first-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both of which are felonies.

Maslinkski’s charges were read in the Tioga County CAP Court, and she was held while awaiting further legal action. Maslinski’s bail was set at $5,000 cash.
