White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci spoke out Tuesday on President Trump's publically slamming Jeff Sessions, saying it's "probably" accurate to say Trump wants Sessions out as U.S. attorney general. The newly-hired Trump administration official spoke on the matter during an interview with Hugh Hewitt when the host asked Scarmucci why the president wouldn't fire Sessions if he was upset with how he has handled his job. "I think him and Jeff — sorry Attorney General Sessions — need to work this thing out," Scaramucci said. The former Wall Street financier also added that the president is "obviously frustrated" with the situation. Scaramucci added President Trump has an "enormous amount of respect" for Sessions, but then pivoted in his rhetoric. "I do know the president pretty well," Scaramucci said. "And if there's this level of tension in the relationship — that's public, you're probably right." Trump took to Twitter with his grievances about how Sessions has served in his role as attorney general both Monday and Tuesday morning -- calling the appointee "beleaguered" and noting his "VERY weak position" on "Clinton crimes."
