School won't let out until Memorial Day weekend in Brevard, but graduations start mid May

While school doesn't officially end until right before Memorial Day for most Brevard students, graduation ceremonies start in the middle of the month.

The last day of school for Brevard Public Schools students is May 24, though teachers will continue to work until the Tuesday after Memorial Day. Graduations, however, are set to take place from Friday, May 17, through the following Saturday.

Graduations are ticketed events, with each high school determining how many tickets will be made available based on the size of the graduating class and the ceremony's venue, according to Russell Bruhn, spokesperson for the district.
