Search for the next Caddo Parish superintendent has begun
The process in selecting the next Caddo Parish Public Schools superintendent has begun.
On Thursday, June 20, the school board announced that McPherson & Jacobson, LLC. have begun the process in selecting the next superintendent.
The first step in this process is by opening the application process. Applicants interested in this position are being advised to submit their applications to www.macnjake.com. The application process ends Aug. 12.
During the June 4 Caddo Parish School Board Meeting, the board decided to move forward with McPherson & Jacobson, LLC., a nationally recognized firm to lead the search in finding the next Caddo Parish superintendent.
Barry Carroll a consultant for McPherson & Jacobson, LLC., said, "thank you very much for selecting our firm again, to do your search. We are one of the top national search firms for superintendent positions."
This search comes after Dr. T. Lamar Goree-- long time Caddo Parish superintendent announced he would be leading the Duncanville Independent School District for the 2024-2025 school year on April 1.
According to the school board, the firm will work closely with the Caddo Parish School Board and staff to schedule meetings with stakeholders and the community.
The school board also wants to tell employees and parents that an online survey will be available which will allow them to provide feedback on the qualities they would like to see in the new superintendent.
The school board has made a goal to select the next superintendent by Oct. 1.
Marquel Sennet, Director of Communications and Marketing for Caddo Parish School District said in a press release, "community members are encouraged to visit www.caddoschools.org for updates and important dates regarding the superintendent search."
