Jun. 21—Law enforcement is searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in the South Valley early Wednesday.

The crash occurred at Second and Rio Bravo around 12:30 a.m., according to a Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office news release issued Friday.

"Upon arrival, deputies found a critically injured pedestrian who was quickly transported to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased," the office said.

The vehicle seen leaving the area shortly after the crash is described as a dark-colored 1987-1991 Ford truck with headlight damage and a silver or tan tailgate.
