Chandler police were investigating after a shooting involving police officers left one person dead on Wednesday.

According to Chandler police, the shooting happened around noon near North Central Drive and West Colt Road.

Additional information regarding how or why the shooting happened and the person's identity was not released by Chandler police.

An investigation was underway.

No officers were injured during the shooting and police said it was no longer an active incident.
