Silver Alert canceled: 88-year-old man with cancer found in KCMO

UPDATE: Refugio Troncoso has returned home.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 88-year-old man last seen Saturday afternoon.

Refugio Troncoso is a white male, 5 feet 1 inches tall, 120 pounds with black and white hair and brown eyes. He was last seen at 2639 Madison Ave. in Kansas City, Missouri at 1:45 p.m.

He was wearing a blue button up shirt and dark blue trousers. He also  has a tattoo of “JR” on an unknown hand between his forefinger and thumb.

Troncoso has been diagnosed with cancer, dementia and kidney failure.

He went outside to start his vehicle and when his daughter checked on him briefly after, he and the vehicle were missing. There is no known destination or direction of travel.

The vehicle is a silver 1993 Toyota Corolla with Missouri tags and the license plate number LB7N0D.

There is currently no photo of Troncoso available.
