Small chance of spotty shower, storm as temps reach the mid-90s

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — It’s a hot and humid weekend! We’re definitely feeling it out there as top temps reach the mid-90s. Once you factor in the humidity, it feels like around 100 degrees in some neighborhoods. This is the case again for Sunday!

There’s a small chance of a spotty shower or storm on Sunday and Monday afternoons, but don’t count too much on it. For the most part, it’s dry… until another front moves in mid-week. This looks to offer more of us a better chance of rain and storms. It’s needed! We’re running about two inches behind in the rain in Charlotte so far this month, and “abnormally dry” conditions have developed in areas north of Charlotte.

The heat will be on all next week. Expect highs in the low and mid-90s for the foreseeable future!

Tonight: Scattered clouds. Low 74.

Sunday: Partly cloudy. Slight chance spotty shower/thunderstorm. High 95.
