South Side Memorial Day parade pays tribute to fallen military members

CHICAGO — The 17th Ward hosted the ninth annual South Side Memorial Day parade Monday to pay tribute to fallen military members.

Alderman David Moore said the event is also an opportunity to honor living veterans and thank them for their sacrifices.

It began with a wreath laying ceremony at St Leo’s Campus for Veterans.
