Springs loses popular best-voted Cajun restaurant

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado Springs has lost another beloved restaurant as Chef Robert “BB” Brunet and Becky Brunet have announced the permanent closure of Momma Pearl’s Cajun Kitchen on Monday, June 17.

According to a Facebook post, the last few months have presented insurmountable economic difficulties, despite the owners’ ongoing efforts to keep the business open for the past several years. Increased expenses in food, labor, and property taxes, along with a drop in customer attendance, forced them to close.

Though the owners expressed that it was with a heavy heart that they made the announcement, they expressed gratitude to their loyal patrons who have shared a meal with them over the years and become a part of the “Momma Pearl’s family.”
