State Senator Schaffer honors American Motorcyclist Association on its 100th anniversary

COLUMBUS - State Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) recognized the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) on its 100th anniversary during Senate session today.

"The American Motorcyclist Association is an incredible organization of dedicated motorcyclists who seek to make a real impact across the country," Schaffer said. "We are all proud that Fairfield County is the home of the AMA Hall of Fame and that Ohio has countless events sponsored by them that bring our communities together. It is an honor to recognize the group's efforts and impressive history during this auspicious anniversary."

The American Motorcyclist Association was founded in Ohio in 1924. The Association's first national event was a 1,400-mile endurance run that began and finished in Cleveland. Over the last century, the AMA has grown into one of the largest member-based motorcycle advocacy groups, promoting and protecting motorcycling throughout the world.
