Sullivan County Schools looking to add new virtual learning option

BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — Sullivan County Schools is considering adding a new virtual schooling option for its students.

If the county commission approves the proposed budget, the new virtual school will be available for the upcoming school year.

Sullivan County Director of Schools Chuck Carter said getting the budget approved is the most important part of the virtual school proposal.

“That will be live this year, the time frame may take us into the fall, maybe the second semester even, but now we can work on that,” Carter said. “We’re just waiting on getting the budget fully approved first.”
