Suspect in custody following Tuesday Houma shooting

HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — A suspect in a recent Houma shooting has been booked after turning himself in to the Houma Police Department on Wednesday, June 19.

According to the HPD, the case began on June 18 when police responded to a shooting in the 2600 block of Daniel Turner Court. Officers received a call reporting that a man had been shot in the shoulder and was being taken to a hospital.

Police say the suspect, 25-year-old Brandon Anderson, allegedly shot the man after an argument had escalated. Anderson reportedly left the area immediately afterward and officers weren’t successful in finding him.

Later, on Wednesday, Anderson turned himself in to police and was taken in without any incident.
