TRAFFIC ALERT: Ragnar races to cause delays across Wasatch Back

WEBER COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — The Weber County Sheriff’s Office said to expect delays around Pineview, Eden, and Liberty Friday, May 7 as Ragnar events begin.

The race is scheduled to enter Weber County at approximately 10 a.m. and should be into Morgan County around midnight.

These will not be the only expected delays across the state, however, as the race covers much of the Wasatch Back.

“You’ll make your way  through wildflowers in Avon Pass and into a postcard-worthy countryside dotted with horses and quintessential barns. We’ll run through some beautiful small towns like Kamas, Oakley and Francis. And if that doesn’t charm you enough, get ready for the photo ops at Snowbasin and Guardsman Pass,” the race website states.

Ragnar aims to “make running a team sport” with relay-style races spanning two days and one night.

“You’ll take turns, relay style, covering 200-ish miles of beautiful country roads, passing city scapes and over rolling hills,” the website states. “When you’re not running, you’ll be cheering on runners and taking in all the sights and sounds road has to offer.”
