Former President Donald Trump slammed Bill Maher and his late night show Saturday, calling him ” highly overrated” and saying his show is dead.

“Bill Maher, the highly overrated ‘Star’ of the ratings challenged show with the Fake, Loud and Obnoxious laughter pouring out of your set every few seconds, even when nothing was said that was funny (which is most of the time!), suffers from a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump said in the Saturday morning Truth Social post.

Trump’s remarks come hours after former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) and former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) joined Maher on “Real Time” to warn against a repeat Trump presidency and talk about charges against the former president.

Cuomo and Maher discussed their beliefs that the New York hush money case against the former president should not have been brought forth — arguing it politicized the justice system and only served to help Trump’s campaign — when Maher argued that instead Trump’s election interference cases should have been the priority.

“If they had just heard the one about trying to overthrow the government of the United States. That’s the main thing! He tried to overthrow the government of the United States! And we’re never going to hear that,” Maher said Friday evening.

“And good for you,” Cuomo said, gesturing towards Kinzinger, “for January 6.”

Kinzinger sat on the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol during his final term in Congress. He distanced himself from the former president and the GOP following the events of Jan. 6, 2021.

The following morning, Trump warned fellow Republicans against engaging with Maher and his show.

“Republicans should stop using him as a reference point, his show is dead!” Trump wrote.

Maher has faced pushback from both parties over the last few months on his statements ahead of the 2024 elections.

He told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria in May that the “left has changed,” citing a smattering of issues he had with the movement’s views including gender, race, free speech, communism, border control, and police abolition.

“No, it’s not that I’ve gotten old, it’s that your ideas are stupid,” he said at the time.

Maher also said earlier this month that President Biden was “going to f‑‑‑ing lose” the upcoming presidential election, anticipating that Trump would be able to rally enough support  among Americans come November.

The continued criticism of both parties comes as Maher vowed in March to do everything in his power to prevent a Trump election.
