Tupelo police charge woman with embezzlement

TUPELO — A former Tupelo Walmart employee has been indicted for stealing from the retail giant.

Jennifer Ann Farrar, 49, of Rollingwood Street, Tupelo, was stopped on June 10 by Tupelo police officers serving a capias warrant for embezzlement. She is accused of stealing more than $1,000 but less than $5,000 from the Walmart Neighborhood Market on South Gloster Street. The theft reportedly happened between November and December 2023.

When the Lee County grand jury handed down the indictment in April, they set her bond at $3,000. Farrar has since been released from the Lee County Adult Jail.
