Two hospitalized after Tosh Lane residential fire in Bedford County

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)– The Stewartsville-Chamblissburg Volunteer Fire Department reports two people were taken to a hospital after a residential structure fire on Tosh Lane on Saturday, March 23.

According to the fire department, crews were dispatched to the scene on a report of a structure fire with occupants trapped inside the residence. Reports from first-arriving units reported the occupants get out of the residence, but needed EMS care.

Due to the winds and building construction, crews reported the fire spread quickly through the home, and to a vehicle in the driveway. In response, fireboats established a water supply, and a tanker task force was assigned. Additional manpower was also requested to help clear the scene.
