The U.S. Marshals Service arrested two Columbus-area people wanted in connection with the drowning deaths of two of their children.

Patricia Davis, 39, and Kenneth Deer, 46, are each facing two charges of involuntary manslaughter and two charges of endangering children, according to indictments filed in April in Franklin County Common Pleas Court.

The charges stemmed from the June 4, 2021, drowning deaths of Prince Dear, 2, and Victory Dear, 4, in a pool in the backyard of Davis and Deer's home on the Far East Side. Davis and Deer were the two children's parents, who spelled their last name differently than their father.

Police told The Dispatch at the time of the drowning that the pool in the backyard of the home on the 1900 block of Walnut Hill Park Drive was filled with mostly rain water, leaves and algae and a neighbor said the pool hadn't been maintained for at least six years.

It is unclear how long Prince and Victory were missing before being found in the water.

After being indicted in April, warrants for Davis and Deer's arrests were issued. They were each arrested in the past week.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Deer was arrested Monday in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, area by the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force.

The Northern District of Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Davis Friday in Canton without incident.

Both Davis and Deer will be extradited back to Franklin County at a later date to face the charges against them.
