UTEP engineering students head to international rocket competition
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Members of UTEP’s Sun City Rocket Team gave KTSM a behind-the-scenes look at their engineering project on Thursday, June 13.
Members also gave us a look at their lab space before the 2024 Spaceport America Cup, which is the world’s largest student rocketry competition.
UTEP says this will be the team’s third time participating in the international tournament and will be moving up from the 10,000 feet category and will make their inaugural entry in the 30,000 feet class.
