For domestic airfare, “there’s a lot of availability,” said Tyler Morton, a travel advisor with Travel Gurus.

“International, there’s still a good amount of availability, but pricing could be higher if you’re going to Europe,” he said.

Travelers may wonder where the U.S. dollar goes the furthest; Bloomberg says Japan, Vietnam and Argentina could be good picks.

If travelers don’t utilize travel agents to book trips, consider booking flights through price-tracking aps like Hopper — indicate where you want to go, and when. The app will predict if prices are slated to drop or rise and notify users of those predictions.

Google also recently launched their Flights’ feature.

Drivers can start gaining cash back on future fuel purchases with apps like Upside. Unused frequent flyer miles and credit card points can also help travelers stretch their dollar.
