TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida sheriff sent a message to his team after a former deputy’s arrest.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood shared a video on Facebook, showing him melting down the badge of former Deputy Stephen Corbin, who was accused of sexual assault earlier this year.

In the video, Chitwood takes a torch to Corbin’s badge while the sheriff’s office’s current class of deputy recruits watch on.

“Any questions?” the group of recruits is asked at the end.

“No sir,” the recruits answered.

“As promised, I said we would melt down the badge of a former deputy who disgraced our agency,” the social post reads. “Here it is, with our current class of Deputy Recruits watching.”
