W.R. Memorial Trust awards hundreds of thousands of dollars to dozens of nonprofits
JOPLIN, Mo. — Hundreds of thousands of dollars will be benefiting local nonprofits after a big announcement Friday morning.
The W.R. Corley Memorial Trust awarded $279,000 to 58 agencies in the area.
That’s everything from $20,000 for the KCU Joplin Dental School and $15,000 for Lafayette House – to dozens of smaller awards for groups like Bright Futures, Habitat for Humanity and the Area Agency on Aging.
This is the fifth year funds have been distributed, now totaling more than a million dollars overall.
