Watch worth $14k stolen from mall in Luzerne County

HAZLE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials say they are investigating a theft from a jewelry store at Laurel Mall in Hazle Township.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police on June 2 at 1:44 p.m., officers responded to an incident at De Jesus Jewelry Store.

Troopers say through investigation they found that the suspect asked to try on a Cartier Automatic worth $14,000 and then fled the scene.

Officials note this is an ongoing investigation.
