Watertown's 12th Avenue project begins Monday

Weather permitting, the City of Watertown Public Works Department will begin work on the 2024 Neighborhood Street Reconstruct Project-12th Avenue NW on Monday, June 24. The work is scheduled to be completed by September 27, 2024, pending any unforeseen issues.

The 2024 Neighborhood Street Reconstruct Project-12th Avenue NW project scope includes the reconstruction of roadway surfacing, curb and gutter, and water main replacement. This project goes from 1st Street NW to 6th Street NW.

The reconstruction project will occur in two phases, with the milling of the existing asphalt conducted simultaneously. Cross roads will remain open using asphalt millings to allow vehicles to cross 12th Avenue NW. During construction, driveway access and parking will be limited during underground work. Please avoid parking on 12th Avenue NW and use side-street parking instead.

As with any road construction project, the public is asked to observe all traffic control devices and flaggers around the construction areas. Residences and businesses will remain accessible most of the time. The 12th Avenue NW Project scope includes the reconstruction of roadway surfacing, curb and gutter, ADA sidewalk corners, and water main replacement.
