FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Happy Tuesday!

Our heat wave continues across much of the eastern U.S., which means for us here in Central Ohio, we’ll continue to deal with “feels-like” temps near the triple digits, muggy conditions, and the chance of pop-up thunderstorms.

For today, expect air temperature highs to return to the middle 90s, but feel closer to 100. We’ll see partly cloudy skies, with spotty thunderstorms as the heat and humidity build during the afternoon and evening.

Then for Wednesday, we’ll once again be in the middle 90s, but humidity starts to drop, very slightly. It will still be muggy out.

Thursday through Saturday look to be our hottest days of the stretch, with highs in the mid to upper 90s, and once again, feeling like the triple digits. Heat alerts continue across the region as a result.

In addition to the heat, we’ve got a very high UV index the next several days, so make sure you’ve got the sunscreen handy. Stay hydrated, and wear light colors. And always check the pavement for the pets.
