White Sands Missile Range resident detained after alleged ‘social media comments’

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A White Sands Missile Range resident was detained Thursday, June 20, due to comments he posted on social media, according to the White Sands Missile Range Public Affairs Office.

The Public Affairs Office says Federal Law Enforcement agents detained the civilian Thursday night.

The Public Affairs Office did not provide any further details on what the alleged social media comments were about.

The Public Affairs Office says there are no safety concerns for the White Sands Missile Range installation or the surrounding communities at this time.
