Woman fatally struck by hit-and-run driver on Boulder Highway

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman crossing Boulder Highway late Thursday night was struck by a hit-and-run driver, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan police.

The crash happened just before 11 p.m. when the woman was crossing from the west side of the highway to the east near Mayorga Street, south of Desert Inn Road. Police said the woman was not in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Boulder Highway.

Police said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the crash is under investigation. This is the 78th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction for 2024.
